Stuck in a Dublin Airport

After waiting in the Indianapolis airport for 4 hours, I finally boarded the plane to take me to Chicago O'Hare where me and my fellow travelers waited to even sign in and get our tickets for another 4 hours. After we got our tickets, we waited at the gate for another 3 hours. After a 7 and a half hour flight to Dublin, the world travelers arrived in Dublin with the expectation of an 8 hour layover. 10 minutes from take off time, Aer Lingus informed us that our flight was canceled because of a freakish ice storm that Dublin has no idea how to handle. We waited in the airport for another 3 hours with a grand total of 11 hours that day to get on a bus for another 2 hours, pass out as best we could and arrived at our nice hotel for the night.

It is still unknown if we have a solid flight for tomorrow but I feel optimistic. So I have yet to reach Madrid which is our first destination. There is a definite lack of sleep and food, but pizza and a bed are taking care of that as we speak... amazing.

So fear not, I will get to Madrid, even if it kills me.... but hopefully not. Its been a long journey and we are not even there yet. Tomorrow is another day that will surely be filled with sitting at a cold airplane gate playing card games and trying to find some comfortable way of sleeping.

Don't you worry, I am not complaining. But we all know that airports are the worst...just the worst. It is time to hit the hay after a couple of long and exhausting two days. It is 10:37 here in Dublin and 5:37 in Muncie.

Farewell until another time when I have time, thoughts and internet all at the same time. Hasta luego
